Artists like My Chemical Romance, the Game and Chingy will take part in the next round of Cingular and Sony Ericsson's free Flash Concerts series this fall. The series kicked off Oct. 8 with Yung Joc in Atlanta; the next performance will be the Game at the Avalon in Los Angeles.

The free events are promoted beginning two weeks before the actual concert, with hopeful attendees alerted by text messages describing the details of performance, exclusive invites, meet-and-greets with the artists and ticket giveaways. Fans are encouraged to register by texting 35274 with their city's code, which can be found on the Flash Concerts 2006 Web site.

Performances run through Dec. 14, where the Ataris and Kill Hannah will perform at Seattle's Showbox. Nada Surf, Young Buck, Von Bondies are also scheduled.

Last year, artists like the Roots, Jermaine Dupri, Yellowcard, Fat Joe and Pete Yorn participated in the inaugural Flash Concerts series.
