In an all-new top three, Sonique's "Sky," the Serious/Universal follow-up to her early June No. 1 hit "It Feels So Good," arrived at No. 2, and Wyclef Jean's "It Doesn't Matter" (Columbia) at No. 3. Planet Perfecto's "Bullet In The Gun 2000," a remix of the group's No. 15 hit from last November, entered at No. 7, while 'N Sync's "It's Gonna Be Me" (Jive) opened at No. 9, and "1234 Get With The Wicked" by TV presenter-turned-rapper Richard Blackwood (EastWest) bowed at No. 10.
Robbie Williams' "Sing When You're Winning" (Chrysalis) started a second week in control of the U.K. album chart, on which the highest new entry also bears the Chrysalis logo: Spandau Ballet's "Gold: The Best Of," which debuted at No. 8.
In contrast with the U.K. charts, the top four on Music & Media's Eurochart Hot 100 Singles tally were unchanged, with Madonna's "Music" (Maverick/Warner Bros.) in its second week on top, ahead of releases by Britney Spears, Melanie C, and Eminem. ATC's "Around The World" (Intro/EMI) climbed 9-5 and Bon Jovi's "Say It Isn't So" (Mercury) earned Sales Breaker honors with a spectacular 94-29 climb.
The Coors' "In Blue" (143/Lava/Atlantic) spent a seventh straight week at the peak of the European Top 100 Albums chart, but Williams' "Sing When You're Winning" is shaping up as a strong new rival, debuting at No. 2. Craig David's "Born To Do It" (Wildstar/Edel) climbed 12-4.
