Modern Rockers Add Punch To 'Out Cold'

The Foo Fighters have reworked a four-year-old B-side, "Make a Bet," into the track "Win or Lose," which will be featured on the RCA soundtrack to the film "Out Cold." The album is due Nov. 20; the film hits theaters the following day. Among the other noted rock outfits contributing tracks are Eve 6, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, and Handsome Devil.

The first single will be Lit's "Lipstick & Bruises," which is No. 11 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart this week. The song can also be found on the group's new RCA album "Atomic."

"Out Cold" follows the adventures of three snowboarders whose favorite mountain is threatened by a mogul's plans to "yuppify" the resort. The film stars Jason London ("Dazed and Confused") and Lee Majors ("The Six Million Dollar Man") and is directed by first-timers Brendan and Emmett Malloy.

Here is the tracklist for "Out Cold":

Lit, "Lipsticks & Bruises"
Eve 6, "Anytime"
Planet Asia and Will I Am, "Ev Rebahdee"
Jimmy Eat World, "Hear Your Me"
Sum 41, "Makes No Difference"
Handsome Devil, "Makin' Money"
Looper, "For Anyone"
James Gang, "Funk No. 49"
Jack Johnson, "Posters"
Foo Fighters, "Win or Lose"
Andrew WK, "She Is Beautiful"
Doyle Bramhall II, "Green Light Girl"
