Proceeds from the shows will go to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which works "to ensure that children are at the forefront of future scientific breakthroughs," according to a statement. "Through the Shows for the Show, I can give hardcore music fans a chance to see these artists in smaller settings where they might not normally perform, as well as donate funds and exposure to a very important charity," McDowell added.
Tickets for both shows go on sale tomorrow (June 15) via Ticketmaster. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to win tickets to the all-star game.
Last July, McDowell joined Mudhoney, Wellwater Conspiracy, Marcy Playground, Supersuckers, and Pete Droge for a similar event the day prior to the Seattle-based all-star game.
