Fans of dreamy female-driven folk-pop that sounds like Mazzy Star can thank their lucky constellations: the influential '90s act is returning with two new songs.

The digital "Common Burn"/"Lay Myself Down" single is due Oct. 31 on Rhymes of an Hour Records, according to Pitchfork. The pair of tracks will also be released on vinyl.

The band found success in the '90s by highlighting alternative rock's lighter side, scoring a hit single with "Fade Into You" and releasing three full-length albums before lapsing into an unofficial indefinite hiatus. Singer Hope Sandoval has since released two solo albums with her backing band, the Warm Inventions.

The single may not be the last we hear from the long-slumbering act. In 2009, Sandoval told Rolling Stone, "It's true we're still together. We're almost finished [with the record]. But I have no idea what that means."
