Master P, Romeo Sitcom Bows Next Month

"Romeo!," the sitcom starring rap mogul Master P and his 13-year-old rapper/son Lil' Romeo, will premiere Sept. 13 on Nickelodeon. The show follows the adventures of a single dad/music industry executive (Master P) juggling the musical ambitions of his son (Romeo), as well as the well-being of three additional children. Each episode will feature video-game style animation interludes as a window into Romeo's active imagination.

"We are excited about partnering with Nickelodeon on this television venture, which will give us the opportunity to expand our current success in music to TV's even wider audience," Master P says in a statement. "Nickelodeon is America's premier brand when it comes to entertainment for kids, and 'Romeo!' will offer Nick fans great comedy along with new New No Limit hip-hop flavor."

Master P was most recently seen in the film "Hollywood Homicide" with Harrison Ford. Romeo next stars in "Honey" opposite Jessica Alba, which will open Nov. 14 in U.S. theaters.
