Mark Ronson steps into the spotlight as a singer, and shows off a talented group of friends, on third album "Record Collection," due Sept. 28 on RCA Records. Working under the alias Mark Ronson and The Business Intl., the British producer will make his debut as a vocalist on the Ghostface Killah collaboration "Lose It (In The End)" and the title track, which also features Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes.

Recorded in Brooklyn with eBay-bought vintage keyboards, "Record Collection" finds Ronson polishing his pop aesthetic with over 30 collaborators.  Notable cameos include reclusive R&B star D'Angelo on "Glass Mountain Trust," Boy George on "Somebody To Love Me" and Q-Tip and MNDR on first single "Bang Bang Bang," which was released last June.

Following production stints with Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Lily Allen, Ronson's 2007 disc "Version" sold 65,000 copies in the U.S. and peaked at No. 3 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The producer has six U.K. shows scheduled during the week of "Record"'s release, including a Sept. 27 performance at Bristol's O2 Academy.
