Lyricists Lounge Tour Back On Track

Comments

Postponed in September "due to a pressing recording commitment of one of the artists," the Crown Royal-sponsored Lyricists Lounge tour gets back in business Friday (Dec. 6) in Washington, D.C. Featuring Erick Sermon, Scarface, Poverty, Blest e Nation, Killah Priest, and Grafh, the trek is confirmed to visit 17 cities through a Dec. 30 stop in Philadelphia, although more dates are expected.

Four artists-- Redman, Onyx, Skillz, and Wordsworth -- on the bill for the original September run will not be in on the rescheduled dates, although at the time of the postponement it was thought that all would be taking part this time around.

Established in New York more than a decade ago as an open mic event, Lyricists' Lounge became a tour in 1998 and has showcased the likes of Eminem, Xzibit, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli, among many others. The brand has also spawned an EP and two-full length albums.
