"I feel very comfortable with what I'm doing," Loveless says in a statement. "With this record, I've come to realize, 'Wow, I'm going back to revisit the kinds of songs I loved when I was growing up.' These days, I feel a little more flexibility to go in a more traditional direction."
"On Your Way Home" is the follow-up to 2001's "Mountain Soul," which peaked at No. 19 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and has sold 247,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Loveless' 2002 holiday album, "Bluegrass and White Snow: A Mountain Christmas," reached No. 20 on the tally.
Loveless has tour dates on tap through October. She will play Saint John's, Newfoundland, tomorrow (June 4).
