LL Cool J will star opposite Gabrielle Union in USA Films' romantic comedy "Deliver Us From Eva," written and directed Gary Hardwick. Shooting is scheduled to start in mid-October. "Eva" centers on three men who pay a born ladies' man (LL Cool J) $5,000 to go out with their meddling sister-in-law Eva (Union). After a disastrous first date, the unlikely pair begin to fall for each other, much to the chagrin of the three accomplices.
As previously reported, after the completion of "Eva," LL Cool J will segue into the November start date of Intermedia Films' action-thriller feature "Mindhunters" for director Renny Harlin.
The rapper will next star in MGM's "Rollerball." He also is attached to star in Dimension Films' "Dolemite" and Miramax Films' "My Baby's Mama" opposite John Leguizamo, Lil' Kim, and Eddie Griffin from a script co-written by Griffin. LL Cool J most recently appeared onscreen in Fox Searchlight's "Kingdom Come."
