Modern rock act Lit will kick off a U.S. tour Sept. 9 with a concert at the annual Gravity Games in Providence, R.I. Supported by Sound of Urchin, Lit's appearance will follow concerts by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Riddlin' Kids (Sept. 7) and Smash Mouth and Unwritten Law (Sept. 8). All three shows, as well as the events of the extreme sports contest, will be broadcast to more than 1,800 U.S. colleges and university campuses via the College Television Network (CTN).

Lit's tour will precede release of its new album, "Atomic," due Oct. 16 via Dirty Martini/RCA. Following a Sept. 11 show in Old Bridge, N.J., Lit will head to Washington, D.C., the next night where labelmates Handsome Devil will join the tour through its Oct. 13 conclusion at a "surprise show" in an unspecified city. Devil's latest, "Kisses From the Underground," is due out Sept. 25.
