After covering dozens of pop hits over its nearly two-year run, "Glee" has debuted its first batch of original music, which will be performed in the Fox show's Mar. 15 episode. "Loser Like Me" and "Get It Right," the first two songs written specifically for the show, premiered this morning (Feb. 25) on Ryan Seacrest's website.

Produced and co-written by Max Martin (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), "Loser Like Me" is a sunny pop track that finds Lea Michele and Cory Monteith railing against conformity and celebrating their individuality in their verses. "Just go ahead and hate on me and run your mouth, so everyone can hear/Hit me with the worst you got and knock me dow -- Baby, I don't care," the cast sings in the chorus.

Meanwhile, Michele tackles the somber ballad "Get It Right" by herself, singing about the feeling that "your good isn't good enough." Adam Anders, the show's music producer who co-wrote the song specifically for Michele, told Entertainment Weekly that "Lea's storyline kind of inspired that song for me... Basically, you try to do everything right and you have good motivations with everything you're doing but everything ends up going wrong."

"Loser Like Me" and "Get It Right" will both appear on "Glee: The Music, Volume 5," the series' latest soundtrack set to be released Mar. 8. The album will also feature covers of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" and a take on Prince's "Kiss" by Matthew Morrison and Gwyneth Paltrow, who will return to the show on the Mar. 8 episode.

"Glee" music supervisor PJ Bloom stated last week that more original songs are coming to the show, with the possibility of an episode devoted entirely to original music in the show's third season. In the meantime, a "Glee" regular will unveil his first solo material next week, as Morrison's debut single, "Summer Rain," is set to premiere on Seacrest's website next Monday (Feb. 28).
