Two and a half decades years after his last performance at the Country Music Association Awards, Lionel Richie will return to the CMAs stage this year to perform cuts from his upcoming country duets album, "Tuskegee."

The pop/R&B icon will be joined for country-fied versions of his hits by Little Big Town for "Deep River Woman," Darius Rucker for "Stuck On You" and Rascal Flatts for "Dancing on the Ceiling" during a performance at the Nov. 9 ceremony. Richie previously performed "Lady" with Kenny Rogers at the 1984 CMAs, and "Deep River Woman" with Alabama two years later.

"I was born and raised in Tuskegee, Alabama," says Richie, who will release "Tuskegee" on Nov. 1, in a press release. "I am a country boy and proud of it. To do this project just felt natural."

The CMA Awards will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and feature performances by Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, among others. Paisley, Swift, Urban, Aldean and Blake Shelton are nominated for entertainer of the year, an honor that Paisley won in 2010.
