Lil' Kim Revealing 'Naked Truth' Pre-Prison

Lil' Kim is preparing to release her fourth solo album just days before going to jail for perjury. "Naked Truth" is due Sept. 13 via Queen Bee/Atlantic; the artist has been ordered to report Sept. 19 to begin serving out her year-and-a-day term in a Connecticut prison.

As previously reported, the rapper (real name: Kimberly Jones) was convicted for lying to a grand jury about her knowledge of a 2001 gunfight outside of radio station WQHT New York (Hot 97).

With less than two months to go, she is already making a radio bid with lead "Naked Truth" single "Shut Up." The track debuted last week at No. 66 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and No. 73 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list.

"Naked Truth" will boast collaborations with a range of sure-fire producers, notably Kanye West, Scott Storch and 7 Aurelius. Other songs confirmed to make the final cut are "Spellcheck," "So Quiet" and "Welcome to Brooklyn."

A full track list for the disc is not yet finalized as at deadline, Lil' Kim is said to still be in the studio recording new material.

"Naked Truth" is the follow-up to 2003's "La Bella Mafia," which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 5 on The Billboard 200. The set, which has sold 1.1 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, featured the singles "Magic Stick," "The Jump Off" and "Thug Luv."
