New York high school students will have the opportunity to win a private concert with LFO, Willa Ford, and City High on Oct. 12 at the Vanderbilt Theater in Plainview, Long Island. The "School Spirit" contest, sponsored by New York radio station Z100, can be entered through the Z100 official Web site beginning Sept. 4 and running through Sept. 30.
Z100 has sponsored a host of free concerts in the New York area in recent years, including performances by Alanis Morissette and All Saints. Previous "School Spirit" concerts have featured Mandy Moore, Pink, Christina Aguilera, and 98 Degrees.
All three acts in the latest contest are enjoying success on various Billboard charts. Ford's single "I Wanna Be Bad" is No. 5 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi Singles-Sales chart this week, while City High's single "What Would You Do?" is No. 19 on The Billboard Hot 100. LFO's single "Every Other Time" is No. 27 on Billboard's Top 40 Tracks tally.
