LCD Soundsystem

Ever since LCD Soundsystem announced that their last-ever show would take place at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 2, tickets for the event have been a hot commodity -- so hot, in fact, that fans of the electronic group are being asked to pay an exorbitant amount of money on ticket touts.

The band, led my frontman James Murphy, is sounding off on Twitter about the steep ticket prices that are being touted by non-fans. "1500 [dollars] for a single ticket? Fuck you, scalpers," the band wrote on Wednesday (Feb. 9), the same day that pre-sale tickets were quickly snapped up. "You are parasites. I HATE you." The group later added, "NO MATTER WHAT WE DO, IT IS NOT WORTH THAT KIND OF MONEY TO SEE US!"

LCD Soundsystem to Retire After April Madison Square Garden Show

General sale tickets went on sale today (Feb. 11) at 11 A.M. EST on bowerypresents.com and ticketmaster.com, although apparently those were equally as difficult for fans to snag. "Ok... did ANYone get a ticket? shit. please tell me?" the band wrote on Twitter this afternoon, before later writing, "seriously--NO ONE? NO ONE on here?"

Last Saturday (Feb. 5), LCD Soundsystem announced that it will "retire from the game" this spring after playing a few overseas shows and playing the MSG show, which will feature special guests. The group has released three full-length albums, including last year's critically acclaimed "This is Happening."
