Kylie Taking It 'Slow' On New Album

Kylie Minogue will unveil her next studio album Nov. 17 internationally via Parlophone and Feb. 10 in North America via Capitol. The as-yet-untitled set's first single, "Slow," will be released commercially Nov. 3. The cut was written by Minogue with Emiliana Torrini (Paul Oakenfold, Thievery Corporation) and Mr. Dan (Fatboy Slim, Doc Martin).

Other collaborators include Baby Ash, Caroline Poole and Johnny Douglas, the latter of whom played on bonus tracks included on international editions of Minogue's 2001 album "Fever." A spokesperson could not confirm reports that other participants include the Neptunes, Cathy Dennis and Kylie's sister Dannii, who will release her own new album, "Neon Nights," Oct. 7 via Ultra.

"Fever," which earned Minogue her first widespread success in North America since the 1988 single "The Loco-Motion," peaked at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. It featured the hit singles "Can't Get You Out of My Head," "Love at First Sight" and "Come Into My World."

Minogue is expected to concentrate on international promotion for the set through the end of the year, at which point Capitol will begin laying the groundwork for the album in North America.
