Kings Of Convenience Get Busy On New Album

Kings Of Convenience is in the thick of recording its fourth studio album, Billboard.com has learned. There's no release date in place yet for the follow-up to 2004's acclaimed "Riot on an Empty Street," issued by Astralwerks.

Although they've played live a handful of times this summer, the duo of Eirik Glambek Boe and Erlend Oye has spent the past two years working on side projects; Oye with the Whitest Boy Alive and Boe with Kommode, which features members of his pre-Kings Of Convenience band Skog.

"Riot on an Empty Street" became the band's biggest seller so far, having shifted 74,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
