The event will open July 3 with a headlining set by Wallflowers, as well as 1980s metal act Quiet Riot, and a slate of regional bands on two stages. The following day, former Styx frontman DeYoung will be backed by the Kansas City Civic Orchestra in the headlining slot. The orchestra will also accompany what is billed as the largest fireworks display in the city.
Blues great Guy will headline the July 5 bill, which will also feature Los Lobos. Area blues, soul, and R&B acts will fill out the remainder of the day's entertainment.
Tickets for July 3 and July 5 are $15 per day. On July 4, tickets will be free thanks to title sponsor Ford Motors. Those tickets available from local dealerships; a canned goods donation will also secure free admission. A $20 for a three-day pass is also available.
