K-Ci Sentenced To Two Years Probation

K-Ci (real name Cedric Hailey), of R&B act K-Ci and JoJo, was sentenced Friday to two years probation in Los Angeles Superior Court on charges of lewd conduct.

As previously reported, Hailey pleaded no contest in May to the charges, which were filed nearly three months after a flashing incident during an appearance at a holiday concert presented by radio station KIIS last December at the city's Shrine Auditorium. The show, which also featured Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, and 98 Degrees, was attended by many parents and young children.

Hailey -- who in March was originally charged with 23 counts of indecent exposure -- must also pay $910 in penalties, and is due in court again on July 20. At that time, if all of the court's requirements have been met, the charges could be dismissed.

A class-action lawsuit against KIIS, filed shortly after the incident by the parents of a young girl who attended the show, is still pending. That suit claims that the station, its Clear Channel Communications parent, and concert promoter SFX all knew of Hailey's past criminal record (which includes a 1993 guilty plea to aggravated sexual contact charges), yet still promoted the show as a family event.
