R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo will embark on an 18-date U.S. tour, set to kick off April 19 in Houston. The group is touring behind its latest MCA album "X," which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart last December.

The dates come in the midst of controversy for group member K-Ci (real name: Cedrick Hailey), who earlier this month was charged with 23 counts of indecent exposure and one count of lewd conduct for allegedly exposing himself at Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball concert last December.

An Anaheim, Calif., family has sued Hailey, along with KIIS-FM, and the station's parents, Clear Channel Communications and SFX Entertainment, for infliction of emotional distress and negligence stemming from the incident.

Meanwhile, songwriter Edward Townsend has filed a five-count lawsuit against K-Ci & JoJo, MCA Records, and others, alleging copyright infringement, unfair competition, and violation of the Lanham Act. Townsend contends that K-Ci & JoJo's tune "Just For Your Love" -- which appears on their 1997 multiplatinum MCA album "Love Always" -- bears "striking similarity" to his 1957 copyrighted composition "For Your Love."
