It only makes sense that Google would tap one of music's biggest stars these days -- whose career started with a handful of YouTube clips -- for a new ad for their web browser, Chrome.

 

Starting with an acoustic version of Justin Bieber's smash hit "Baby," the video traces the singer's career from his very first YouTube performances. Next thing you know, there he is with Usher, getting mobbed by screaming fans around the world. YouTube user to international superstar in no time flat. Watch below.

 

 

It's kind of a brilliant ad campaign with the subtle message that you, too, can go from nobody to somebody -- and this is the browser that'll take you there. Ah, the democratizing power of the internet. Thanks, Google!
