Jonas Brothers are on track to score their second No. 1 album in less than a year as "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" is on course to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart next week. Industry analysts think the Hollywood Records album may sell upwards of 275,000 to 300,000 in its first week.
The brother trio's last studio effort, "A Little Bit Longer," bulldozed its way to a No. 1 debut last August, when it started with 525,000.
Billboard.com interviewed the Jonas Brothers in their dressing room at a surprise club show in New York last week that they played in support of new album, "Lines, Vines and Trying Times."
The JoBros are scheduled to chat on CNN's "Larry King Live" on June 18 and perform on NBC's "Today" on June 19. The band's tour kicks off on June 20 in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium.
"Lines" also led the Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart that was released on June 17, which reflected unweighted sales through the close of business on June 16. Billboard estimates the seven merchants who report to Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart -- Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, iTunes, Starbucks, Borders, Target and Anderson Merchandisers -- comprise about 60% of all U.S. album sales.
Incubus' new hits collection "Monuments and Melodies" (Immortal/Epic) may arrive in the top 10 next week while Michael Buble's "Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden" (143/Reprise/Warner Bros.) and Will Downing's "Classique" (Peak) could open in the top 20.
Nielsen SoundScan's sales tracking week, as reflected in the official Billboard 200 chart, runs from Monday through Sunday of each week. The newest Billboard 200 chart, released on June 17 -- where the Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." debuted at No. 1 with 304,000 -- reflected the week that ended June 14.
