"Honey" is a music-driven coming-of-age drama about an inner-city woman (Alba) who fulfills her dream of becoming a successful video choreographer until an unforeseen setback causes her to discover greater satisfaction in creating dance with neighborhood kids. Many of the dance scenes are being choreographed to meet Jerkins' musical vision.
Jerkins has worked with such artists as Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, 'N Sync, Michael Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Mary J. Blige. He won a Grammy in 2000 for best R&B song for writing Destiny's Child's No. 1 hit "Say My Name." Most recently he produced tracks on the latest albums by TLC and Santana.
