Jennifer Lopez, widely rumored to become a judge on "American Idol," will not be joining the show after all, according to report by People.

A source told the magazine's website that Lopez had been working on a deal to become a judge on the upcoming 10th season, but negotiations eventually fell apart. "Her demands got out of hand," said the source. "Fox had just had enough."

The singer/actress was among the front-runners to replace departed "Idol" judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres.

While Lopez reportedly out of the running, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler is still under consideration to join the judges' table. Last week, Tyler said that a deal with "Idol" was "a work in progress."
