Jay-Z, Whitney, Muse And Kid Cudi To Dominate Billboard 200

Jay-Z may make it a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week as his "Blueprint 3" could fend off some hot competition from two just-released sets, along with a diva's surging album.

Muse's "The Resistance" and Kid Cudi's debut album "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" are both looking to sell around 120,000 copies each, according to industry prognosticators. Muse could go a tad higher, while Cudi's Universal Motown set may finish the week a shade lower.

For Muse, it looks like "The Resistance" will give the band its best sales week ever and its highest charting album, too. The Warner Bros.' act's previous high came when 2006's "Black Holes and Revelations" debuted and peaked at No. 9 with 48,000.

Whitney Houston's "I Look To You," a former No. 1 on the chart, is looking to benefit from her two-day stand on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The diva chatted with Winfrey for the entire hour on Monday, Sept. 14 and again the following day, when she also performed a tune from the set. Sources say the Arista album will see a handsome sales boost and could sell as much as 125,000 copies by week's end.

Other albums looking to start high on the Billboard 200 next week include Drake's seven-song EP "So Far Gone," Lil' Boosie's "Superbad," Megadeth's "Endgame" and Honor Society's "Fashionably Late."

Nielsen SoundScan's sales tracking week, as reflected in Billboard's sales charts, runs from Monday through Sunday of each week. Next week's album charts will be revealed on Wednesday, Sept. 23 and will reflect data through the week ending Sunday, Sept. 20.
