On the eve of his charity concert in New York, Jay-Z has announced the dates and venues for his upcoming fall tour. With 21 dates confirmed -- including Philadelphia, PA , Seattle, WA and Austin, TX -- the tour will visit college campus arenas and traditional venues across North America starting on October 9.

Beginning September 4th, fan club members have an opportunity to buy pre-sale tickets for select cities and a pre-sale for Citibank card holders in select cities will begin today (Sept. 8th). Tickets go on sale for the general public in select markets on Sept. 11 at livenation.com.

The fall tour is the follow-up to last year's "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City" tour," which grossed more than $35 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Prior to the tour kickoff, Jay-Z will hold a charity concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 11 in support of the New York Police & Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Fund. The show will be broadcast live on Fuse.

Jay-Z's latest studio album, "The Blueprint 3," was released today.
