Acute alcohol poisoning has been determined to be the cause of death for Jani Lane, former vocalist of the successful 80s glam metal band Warrant, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Lane, 47, was found dead last August 11 in a Comfort Inn motel in Los Angeles. Arrested twice for DUI in recent years, the blonde haired frontman had previously served time in jail.

Born John Kennedy Oswald in 1964, the glam rocker fronted Warrant for three separate stints, most notably from 1986 to 1993, during which the band scored hits like "Cherry Pie" and "Heaven."
In 2005, he appeared in VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club," and later teamed with fellow hard rockers Great White. He last fronted Warrant in 2008.
Said his website, "Jani will be missed by all. Very unexpected and tragic news of his untimely death."
According to his website and Twitter profile, Lane left behind wife Kimberly and four children, Taylar, Brittany, Madison and Ryan. Married three times, Lane was first paired with model Bobbie Brown, who appears alongside him in 1990's "Cherry Pie" video.
