Back to SXSW coverage

Billboard.com's SXSW 2010 coverage is delivered via Sprint 4G.

Jakob Dylan, the Wallflowers frontman and son of Bob Dylan, sat down at SXSW to catch up with Billboard.com about his latest solo album, working with Neko Case, and reuniting with producer T-Bone Burnett.

Going undercover in a brown fedora and a pair of black aviators, Dylan waxed philosophic about playing with a new band and he and T-bone's choice to feature alt-country singer songwriter Neko Case on his latest album, "Women And Country," due April 6. "Neko and I actually met through t-bone and I making a wish list for the record. She was at the top of our list."

Dylan quips that he first decided to work with producer and songwriter Burnett again "about a week after Bringing Down The Horse" and says he felt this most recent material was a great fit for both of them. "I was just kind of waiting for him to warm up and get his legs and get cooking, then I was going to swoop back in."
