Jaguares Sets U.S. Tour

Latin rock act Jaguares will return to the U.S. for a brief tour that begins Nov. 22 in Denver. The 11-date trek will see the act bouncing around the country in support of its latest BMG U.S. Latin album, "El Primer Instinto" (The First Instinct), through a Dec. 14 show in Cupertino, Calif. Prior to the U.S. run, the band will perform Friday (Nov. 15) at Mexico City's Auditorio Nacional.

Released in late October, "El Primer Instinto" debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and No. 95 on The Billboard 200. The album is a collection of the band's signature tunes (including songs recorded during its previous incarnation as Caifanes) redone in an organic, acoustic fashion, as well as the new songs "No Importa" (It Doesn't Matter) and "Arriesgate" (Take a Risk). The disc features such guests as Los Lobos' David Hidalgo, Jimmy "Z" Zavala, Los Tigres del Norte's Eduardo Hernandez, La Sonora Santanera, and Jose Hernandez.

In September, the band visited four U.S. cities, and tapped former Smiths lead singer Morrissey to open the shows. The Revolucion tour through Southern California played to more than 31,000 multi-racial fans, according to the band's publicist.
