Isaak Sings New Tune For 'Informers'

Comments

Rocker Chris Isaak has joined the ensemble cast of "The Informers," an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel.

Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the script follows seven stories taking course during a week in the life of movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters.

Isaak will play a sex- and alcohol-obsessed father who takes his young son to Hawaii.

The musician, who played a version of himself in the Showtime series "The Chris Isaak Show" (2001-2004), most recently appeared in John Waters' "A Dirty Shame" with Tracey Ullman and Johnny Knoxville.

The "Informers" cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke. Also new is Amber Heard ("All the Boys Love Mandy Lane"), who plays a sexually promiscuous woman.

Shooting is under way in Los Angeles and then moves to Uruguay and Buenos Aires.
