With Hurricane Claudette wreaking havoc in Southern Texas, hard rock act Staind was forced to postpone its scheduled concert last night (July 15) in San Antonio. The band will make up the show at the city's Sunken Gardens venue on Oct. 10; all original tickets will be honored.
Claudette caused extensive damage in the region as it raged with 85 mph winds and torrential rains. As of this morning, the storm has been downgraded to a tropical depression.
Staind's tour continues tomorrow at Denver's Gothic Theater. With Static X in tow, the group will be out in the U.S. through an Aug. 3-4 stand in Springfield, Mass. A European tour kicks off Aug. 15 in Avenches, Switzerland.
The group is touring in support of its latest album, "14 Shades of Grey," which in June debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. The album's first single, "Price To Pay" reached No. 2 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks airplay chart and No. 6 on the Modern Rock Tracks tally. Currently, second single "So Far Away" is No. 10 on both charts.
