Sade scores a No. 1 ranking on the latest Hot Tours tally with ticket sales reported from the final North American leg of the act's world tour.  The combined gross from the 12 venues included in this week's recap is $12.4 million from 152,119 sold tickets.  Two of the venues hosted the tour on consecutive nights, Oracle Arena in Oakland on Aug. 26-27 and Anaheim's Honda Center on Aug. 30-31.  The Anaheim arena had the highest gross and
attendance totals with more than $2.2 million in revenue from 24,648 sold seats, but the Oakland venue's ticket sales count was a close second - just 104 less.  Of the venues that hosted the band for a single performance, the
MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas owned the top gross, $1,392,963 from a sellout crowd of 12,973 on Sept. 3,  and the highest attendance was reported at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Calif.  The San Diego-area outdoor amphitheater filled 15,652 seats for a performance on Aug. 23rd.
 
Ticket sales totals reported from Manchester, England's 21,000-seat Manchester Evening News Arena earn four artists a spot in this week's top 10, including comedian Peter Kay who ranks second.  The English entertainer
played a 20-show run at his hometown arena, selling out 17 shows and grossing almost £7 million ($10.7 million US$).  With performances stretching from Sept. 27 through Oct. 22, the Manchester run was the comedian's  second stint at the venue on his Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour, as it was originally dubbed.  Kay also played 20 shows at the arena in 2010.

Manchester audiences also propelled country legend Dolly Parton, R&B artist Rihanna and English comedian and television star Alan Carr to positions on the Hot Tours list this week.  Parton played the Manchester Evening News Arena on Sept. 11 during the European leg of her Better Day World Tour, grossing $1.1 million (US$) and placing her at No. 8 on our chart.  Landing at No. 9 is Rihanna with $1 million (US$) in ticket sales revenue from her Oct. 9 performance in front of a sellout crowd of 16,396.  Following her at No. 10 is Carr with box office revenue from a two-show run on Sept. 16-17 that drew a total of 21,209 fans.
