Canadian pop star Justin Bieber tops the current list of Hot Tours with $3.8 million in box office grosses reported from six American arenas on the My World Tour's December itinerary.  All venues were in the eastern U.S., stretching from Manchester, N.H. to Miami.  Top sales came from Pittsburgh's five-month old 19,000-seat arena, CONSOL Energy Center with ticket sales topping $804,000 from a sold out concert on Dec. 13.  Supporting Bieber on this stretch of performances during December were rapper Sean Kingston, Pop singer Jasmine Villegas and R&B boy group Mindless Behavior.

The Jonas Brothers land in the No. 2 position on the Hot Tours rankings based on totals from three venues in Brazil that hosted the trio in November as they wrapped the tour's Latin American trek.  The first Brazilian show was in São Paulo on Nov. 6 at Estádio do Canindé, the city's 28,500-seat outdoor soccer stadium.  The $1.7 million (US$) in ticket sales was tops among the three venues.  The tour played the following evening in Rio de Janerio at Pista de Atletismo and on Nov. 10 in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre.  This last performance in Brazil was indoors at the 18,000-seat arena, Gigantinho.

Veteran Canadian singer Leonard Cohen is third on the list of top-grossing tours with totals reported from five of the final venues on his World Tour that spanned almost three years. The last dates on the tour, which began in the spring of 2008, were in western U.S and Canadian markets including Victoria and Vancouver, B.C. as well as Portland, Ore. and Oakland, Calif.  The tour wrapped in Las Vegas with two sold out performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Dec. 10-11.  Combined attendance for both shows was 5,777 with a gross of $744,667.
