Hip-hop acts the Roots, Talib Kweli, Rah Digga, Jill Scott, Dead Prez, the Jazzyfatnastees, Slum Village, Jaguar, and MC Bahamadia will be featured on the Okayplayer tour, set to hit North America for more than a month of dates beginning in October. The full itinerary and individual show lineups are not fully in place, but the trek will tentatively begin Oct. 5 in the Boston area and wrap Nov. 24 in the Roots' hometown of Philadelphia.
The Okayplayer official Web site confirms that Common will also join the tour at some point in November after dates with his own group. Dilated Peoples were involved in the early planning stages for the jaunt, but opted instead to set out on the "Word Of Mouth" tour with Jurassic 5, Beat Junkies, and MC Supernatural.
