Two versions of a unreleased holiday medley performed by Jimi Hendrix and his Band Of Gypsies will be issued this November by Experience Hendrix/MCA Records. "Jimi Hendrix: Merry Christmas And Happy New Year" will contain four-and-a-half and seven-and-a-half minute takes of the triptych "Little Drummer Boy/Silent Night/Auld Lang Syne." The medley was recorded in December 1969.
In addition, the CD single of the song will include the out-of-print 1968 track "3 Little Bears." The tune, originally included on the posthumous collection "War Heroes," has been unavailable in the U.S. for two decades.
