Hard Rockers Square Off On 'WWF Forced Entry'

Rare tracks by Creed and Limp Bizkit and a host of newly recorded theme songs are all in the mix on the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) compilation "WWF Forced Entry," due March 26 from Columbia. The set includes Creed's "Young Grow Old," previously available only as a bonus track on import editions of the group's album "Human Clay," Kid Rock's cover of ZZ Top's "Legs," and a new mix of Limp Bizkit's "Rollin'."

But the bulk of the album features new recordings of theme songs from WWF stars, with such pairings as Disturbed / "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Sevendust / Chris Jericho, Rob Zombie / Edge, Cypress Hill / Tazz, Dope / Vince McMahon, Drowning Pool / Triple H, Monster Magnet / Hardy Boyz, Our Lady Peace / Chris Benoit, and Stereomud / Raven.

An unreleased remix of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People," which doubles as the theme music for WWF's "SmackDown!" show, is also included on "Forced Entry." The album comes on the heels of the 18th edition of the WWF's Wrestlemania event, set for March 17 at SkyDome in Toronto.

The WWF has achieved success with several prior music compilations, and in October 2000, started its own label, SmackDown! Records. The imprint's first release, "WWF The Music Volume 5," debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 in March 2001.
