Gwyneth Paltrow is getting ready to show off her comedy -- and hopefully, singing -- chops on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" for a third time, NBC has announced. The Oscar-winning actress will host "SNL" on Jan. 15, just over a week after her film "Country Strong" opens in theaters, with Cee Lo Green joining the episode as a musical guest.

The booking could also mean an on-air collaboration between Green and Paltrow, who demonstrated her triple-threat talents on a November episode of "Glee" with a cover of Green's hit single, "F**k You." The Oscar-winning actress has been exchanging emails with Green ever since, and on Monday's "Good Morning America," she hinted that there may be an "SNL" duet. "We don't know where that's gonna go," she said, "but I am such a big fan of Cee Lo. He is so gorgeous and talented and amazing. We'll see."

Even before the "SNL" gig was announced, Green also hinted at a possible musical team-up with Paltrow. "We've been considering a few things actually," he told E! News. "It's a little too early to commit to a statement and I won't ruin the surprise because whatever we're going to do is going to be extra cool."

Gwyneth Paltrow Returning to 'Glee'

Paltrow's sketch comedy talents were on full display as recently as Monday night (Jan. 3), when the she appeared on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and relived her and the host's fictional days in the R&B duo Shazzazz. "Many people may remember us from when we were in an R&B group in the '90s," Fallon said to introduce the bit. The music videos for the duo's first three "mega-hits" -- "Let's Do It," "Do It Again" and "We Did It" -- followed, all identical. Paltrow showed off her robot dance moves, while Fallon fully rocked his braids. Watch:
