Bo Diddley, the Steve Morse Band, James Cotton, and Charlie Hunter will be among the axemen performing at the Gibson Guitar Festival, to be held July 25-26 in Newport, R.I. The fretmaker's first title sponsorship, the two-day event will feature over 20 rock, blues, and jazz acts plying their craft in a fair-like setting. Other scheduled performers include the Meters, the Radiators, Sue Foley, Kelly Willis, and Nils Lofgren.
