Gray Answers The 'Call' For New U.K. Single

Macy Gray, now on a 21-date North American tour with Santana and still a hot international item with her Epic album "On How Life Is," has a new U.K. single in stores today (July 24). "Why Didn't You Call Me" is the fourth release from the set and features a remix by 88 Keys.

The track is already a U.K. airplay hit and has strong support from the second track, "I've Committed Murder," currently being championed by BBC Radio 1 in a Gang Starr remix. Gray is due back in the U.K. to play at the V2000 festival on Aug. 19 in Chelmsford and the following day in Staffordshire.

Worldwide sales of the album are now estimated by Epic at six million. "On How Life Is" this week spends its 55th week on the U.K. sales chart, still inside the top-40 at No. 36, and marks its 44th week in Music & Media's European Top 100 Albums list with a 60-58 climb.

In the U.S., "On How Life Is" is up 39-33 on The Billboard 200 in its 50th chart week, while "Why Didn't You Call Me" is at No. 7 on Billboard's Adult Top 40 chart.
