Bye Bye Broadway: Pop Songs We'd Like to See on 'Glee'

Broadway came to Lima, Ohio in full force this season of "Glee," with songs from the Great White Way dominating the few and far between pop numbers. But now that the school play is over and "West Side Story" standards are off the table, it's time for the show to turn back to the pop numbers that fans crave so much. We took it upon ourselves to pour over them and offer some suggestions for what they could perhaps explore in coming episodes.

'Glee' Adele Mash-Up on Track for High Hot 100 Debut

With up to 160,000-180,000 first-week downloads, "Rumour Has It"/"Someone Like You" could bow in the Hot 100's top 10.

'Glee' Recap: The Kids Are Alright, But Those Adults ...

We return from a brief holiday week hiatus to a "Glee" that stumbles as much as it shines, with two plotlines-worth of structure that make sense, and two that fall completely flat. It's a glass half empty or half full situation, and we'll try to look on the bright, gay side all episode.

Darren Criss Says He Wrote Song for 'Adele's Voice'

Darren Criss has been envisioning Adele singing his music since before his "Glee" fame could possibly make that a reality.

Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan are confirmed to be joining "Glee" for an episode in the new year, according to the show's executive music producer Adam Anders.

"We just announced Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan for a Spanglish episode," he told Billboard.com Sunday night. "We're just starting the planning, so I don't know (which songs the pair will sing.) I wouldn't tell you anyway!"

Anders did admit that a crazy mash-up with Martin's "Livin' la Vida Loca" and Estefan's "Conga" would be a cool route for the two superstars. According to earlier reports citing inside sources, Estefan will be playing Santana's mother while Martin will be McKinley High's new Spanish teacher in the episode.

Anders was joined by many of the stars and creators behind "Glee" Sunday night at Trevor Live, a benefit for The Trevor Project, a non-profit focused on ending suicide and bullying for LGBTQ youth, a topic that is near and dear to the hearts of everyone involved in the TV show.

"I'm excited everyone is here together supporting this cause," said Harry Shum Jr., who was on hand with his co-stars to introduce Amber Riley's performance. "Last year I was here, but it wasn't this big of a scale. I'm so happy to see it grow over a year and bring awareness. I danced last year. We're alternating, this year Darren (Criss) is doing it and Amber's doing it, but I'll just enjoy watching."

Anders served as musical director for the night, in collaboration with Adam Shankman, who directed the event. Anders described his role as "selecting songs, arrangements, artists, pulling favors," but admitted that he didn't need to twist anyone's arm to be involved in Trevor.

"We thought we'd have to, but everybody wants to be part of it and help out," he said. "The amount of talent that's come out to support has been amazing."
