Nashville's RCA Label Group and country cable channel CMT are partnering for a live telecast and CD release called "Girls Night Out." Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Mindy McCready, and Lorrie Morgan will each perform one new song and three other songs for the event. They also will collaborate on at least one group song. The CD is due March 2; the show airs live March 3.
Meanwhile, two other Nashville "girls" are continuing their reunion. The reunited Judds are planning a New Year's Eve 1999 concert at Phoenix's America West Arena. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the show, which will be sponsored by Kmart. The act has also inked a two-year exclusive marketing agreement with the retail giant to support its new national chain of Big K stores.
