"On a Wire," produced by Scott Litt (Nirvana, Liz Phair), is the follow-up to 1999's "Something To Write Home About," which hit No. 31 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and has sold 134,000 copies in the U.S. to date, according to SoundScan. Last year's odd-and-ends collection, "Eudora," hit No. 18 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums tally and No. 22 on the Heatseekers chart.
A video/audio clip of first single "Overdue" can be found on Vagrant's official Web site.
Hot Rod Circuit is touring behind its recent album "Sorry About Tomorrow," which reached No. 33 on the Heatseekers chart. Superchunk's latest Merge set, "Here's to Shutting Up," was released last September. The trek will also feature opening acts the Jealous Sound (May 24-30, June 6-7) and Audio Learning Center, which features former members of Pond and Sprinkler (June 8-14).
