George Harrison Guests On Bill Wyman Album

A former Beatle teams up with an ex-Rolling Stone on the upcoming two-CD set by Bill Wyman and his group of famous friends, the Rhythm Kings. Aptly titled "Double Bill," the group's fourth album is set for U.K. release on Wyman's Ripple label via Papillon on April 23 and includes a guest appearance by George Harrison.

Also playing on the set are long-time colleagues and collaborators of Wyman's, such as Procol Harum's Gary Brooker, Andy Fairweather Low (once of Amen Corner and more recently guitarist or bassist with Roger Waters and Eric Clapton), longtime Elton John percussionist Ray Cooper, jazz/pop veteran Georgie Fame, pop/rock star Chris Rea, and widely respected guitarist Albert Lee, once of Emmylou Harris' Hot Band.

Vocals, as on previous projects, are by Beverley Skeete. The album was co-produced by Wyman with writing partner Terry "Tex" Taylor.

"Double Bill" contains six new compositions plus covers, including Ketty Lester's 1962 hit "Love Letters," scheduled to be the first single. Wyman and the Rhythm Kings are planning a European tour for the summer..
