Garbage, Weller & More Set For 'One Big No'

Garbage, Travis frontman Fran Healy, Paul Weller, Evan Dando, Beth Orton, and Echo & the Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch are confirmed to perform at the One Big No anti-war concert, which, as previously reported, will be held March 15 in London.

The larger Wembley Arena was until recently touted to host the gig, but organizers Emily Eavis and Lily Sobhani instead settled for the cozier setting of the 2,000-capacity Shepherd's Bush Empire. "We decided on Shepherd's Bush because it's much more intimate and many of the bands wanted to do acoustic sets, so we felt it was a more appropriate venue," they said.

British dance act Faithless has agreed to perform a rare acoustic set at the show. Additionally, Yoko Ono and Badly Drawn Boy are expected to deliver video messages, while Labour party Member of Parliament George Galloway, a vociferous anti-war campaigner, will offer a short speech.

"It's looking really good. We've had an incredible amount of support over the last week," says Eavis, daughter of Glastonbury festival founder Michael. Other acts are yet to be announced. Proceeds from the event will go to the Stop the War Coalition and the Council for Nuclear Disarmament.
