Internet company BuyDomains.com has voluntarily transferred the rights to the PeterGabriel.com domain name to the artist. Subsequently, a case that had been brought to the Geneva-based World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against the Internet company has been terminated.
Sources at WIPO say it's likely that Gabriel would have been awarded the rights, since he operates a company that includes his own name. The artist already holds the rights to petergabriel.net, which redirects Web surfers to his label site, www.realworld.co.uk.
