Florence + the Machine's new video has a thousand-comment debate to go with it.

As previously reported by Billboard.com, the video for "No Light, No Light," the latest single from the band's "Ceremonials," was released on Friday. Among other things, it depicts Florence standing atop a city skyline before leaping into the air and crashing through a church skylight, where she's caught by a boys' choir.

The religious and racial imagery of the video, which also includes the pinning of a voodoo doll, has prompted a heated debate among YouTube commenters over what some claim are references to the Illuminati and Satan worshipping.

The comment thread has ballooned to over 1,000 posts, with recent notes including user cheskor writing, "This reminds me of 'Like a Prayer' … Not a bad thing at all! This is pure ART!" and user Tacoflavoredkiss adding, "Florence is NOT in the Illuminati. She's is everything BUT evil and dark."

What do you think of the video? Has Florence gone too far? Watch it below:
