Fishbone singer/saxophonist Angelo Moore and bassist Norwood Fisher, Veruca Salt's Louise Post, Ben Folds, and Lisa Loeb will all appear in a Priceline.com commercial with actor/Priceline pitchman William Shatner.
"William Shatner is an awesome guy to work with. He's a cultural icon and a really funny guy," Fisher said of making the commercial, which will begin airing in May. "And it was exciting to work with Louise Post, Ben Folds, and Lisa Loeb."
At a recent taping in New York, Fisher and Loeb entertained the cast and crew between takes performing cover songs. "Hopefully, me and Lisa Loeb will continue to pursue our duets record concept, to be produced by Dweezil Zappa," Fisher joked.
As previously reported, Fishbone will be taking part in the first leg of the high-profile Red Hot Chili Peppers / Stone Temple Pilots tour this summer, kicking off June 30 in Saratoga, N.Y.
"Reuniting with these guys is going to be a joyous occasion," says Moore of the tour. "It's been almost eight years since we've been on the same stage with the Peppers and six years since we've been out with STP. Everyone should come to this glorious reunion. It's going to be like a history lesson with all of us together."
Fishbone will be touring in support of its recently released Hollywood debut, "Fishbone & Familyhood Nextperience Presents The Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx." Moore will also be appearing on an episode of the VH1 series "The List," airing the week of May 22.
