First Grammy Performances Set

Comments

OutKast, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and the White Stripes are among the first performers confirmed for the 46th annual Grammy Awards ceremony. The members of OutKast will take part in a segment dedicated to funk that will also boast George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Earth, Wind & Fire and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.

The Feb. 8 event will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET (tape delayed on the West Coast). This year's host has not yet been announced.

As previously reported, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, OutKast and the Neptunes' Pharrell Williams are tied for the lead with six nominations apiece. A 21-track disc of Grammy-nominated music compiled by the Recording Academy and BMG Strategic Marketing Group will be released Jan. 20.
