Previously unreleased songs by Pearl Jam, Supergrass, Fu Manchu, and Helmet's Page Hamilton will grace the soundtrack to independent film "Chicago Cab." "Hard To Imagine," a track Pearl Jam has performed in concert but never committed to disc, will be the centerpiece of the set, which will be released Aug. 25 on band member Stone Gossard's Loosegroove Records. Gossard's other group, Brad, will also contribute to the album, as will the Grifters, Hovercraft, Sparklehorse, and Joey Altruda.
"Chicago Cab," which stars Gillian Anderson, Julianne Moore, Laurie Metcalf, and John Cusack, is a story about the passengers a cabbie shuttles around one Christmas. The film, distributed by Castle Hill, will open in the fall in Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York.
